Dear Reza,

I am happy to report to you that I got accepted to Brown! I am thrilled because it was my first choice for colleges. I will be taking biomedical engineering classes. I also hope to assist in Professor John Donoghue's lab, perhaps sophomore year. He researches neural prosthetics and just won an award from Discover magazine. I greatly look forward to my opportunities at Brown.

Dear Reza,

Ken and I wanted to personally thank you for all your help and support in moving Lauren towards her outstanding performance on the SAT’s. We knew her previous score did not reflect her true ability, but we were all delightfully surprised and thrilled to see how much she improved with your patient teaching. Your style was perfectly matched to Lauren’s needs: you were constantly reassuring, explained the concepts in a clear and concise manner and helped take away the mystery of math to enable her to see the logic of the questions and answers. While the SAT tutoring was not directly applicable to the current subject matter in school, you taught Lauren to think and to apply the thought processes to the new math material.

I also want to thank you for suggesting she take the SAT 2’s in math last spring. Newton doesn’t begin to talk about the SAT’s until Junior Year and it is wonderful to have the tests now successfully behind her. Because of your suggestions re math, she also sat for the Bio SAT 2 and did equally well in that. Now hopefully there can be more time for fun and the enjoyment of learning.
